Hello and welcome to my web world! My name is Jonathan Mark Abro and I am the sole designer and developer of all of the web sites within my portfolio including JMA World. I am a very well travelled person having walked, cycled, hiked and used most every other means of transportation to visit five of our world's seven continents.
Some of my travel highlights include cycling around parts of Europe, swimming in Lake Malawi, trekking in Nepal, cycling across the desert from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, diving in the Maldives and on the Great Barrier Reef, visiting the glaciers in Alaska and many more, too numerous to list all of them here.
In the Summer of 2000 I gave up my role as a Senior e-Commerce Project Manager in a major UK Bank to update my technical skills and understanding of various web technologies. This required taking a sabbatical from work to take up these studies. During this time I also took the opportunity to add to my world travels and achieve one of my travel dreams of travelling across the USA and Canada, ultimately visiting the glaciers and watching whales and other wildlife in Alaska. Since returning to London I have been the Technical Director and Project Manager of an Internet based Travel company called Cybercityguides.com.
