Susan started her legal studies with a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Natal in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. This was followed by an LLB from the University of Natal in Durban, South Africa.

Susan then spent her mandatory two years as an Article Clerk with the Durban Law Partnership of Paola, Wright and Wilkinson where she learnt a great deal and proved her ability to be a great lawyer. This was later confirmed by an invitation to join the prestigious Durban Law Partnership of Woodhead-Bigby as a partner.

As the final step to being able to practise law in South Africa, Susan successfully completed the Entrance Exam to The Bar of South Africa.

Since qualifying to practise law in South Africa Susan has studied and gained a number of further legal qualifications.
