We were staying at the Le Meridian Pyramids Hotel, a really nice hotel with views of The great Pyramid of Cheops and the Pyramid of Khafre from our room, the swimming pool and various viewing points around the hotel including the roof. So for our second day we spent the entire day lounging at the pool either in the water or under the umbrellas. The temperature was about 34 degrees Celsius so every now and again, as the sun moved, one of the men around the pool moved all the umbrellas so that those of us not brave enough or stupid enough to be in the full sun remained in the shade. The only times that we left the pool area were to go and get more water, to take another bunch of photos of the pyramids and, in the late afternoon, to buy water and ice-cream and take a walk to see the fancy 5* Mena House Hotel where we took a few Pyramid photos!
