We also went to Los Angeles for a day to see my aunt, uncle and cousin. We spent the day going to The Getty Museum, looking at the views of Santa Monica beach and wandering along Venice Beach where we bought the obligatory T-shirts. We ended the day by meeting both senior and junior Mr and Mrs Greenberg for supper in a trendy restaurant in Venice Beach. The drive back to Irvine was quite an experience in itself. The motorway is about 6 lanes each way and even at 10 PM on a weekday night it is full of traffic, thankfully without any jams! 
 We went home having had a really good holiday, the opportunity of spending time with both of our American family's and having been part of a wonderful wedding. It was a great two week trip . |
