Air Taxi - Namibia

Dune Sea   Sesriem Canyon   Marble Mountains   Air Taxi

The next morning after breakfast Alfie drove John & Evelyn and Lance & Judith back to Windhoek and we waited for our "Air Taxi" to take us on to the next part of our adventure, Swakopmund. We had initially expected to be driven from the Namib-Naukluft Lodge but when we got our itinerary and saw we were to be flown we did not complain. We were fetched by a single engine, 5-seater plane. This caused much excitement at the lodge as it was a rare occurrence that someone used their little airstrip. We flew over the Namib Desert filled with huge canyons, giant rocky outcrops, vast open desert area and, on the approach into Swakopmund, one of only 4 desert golf courses in the world. It was a fantastic flight and a great way to travel.
