Sky Diving - Namibia

Skeleton Coast   Khan Valley   Walvis Bay   Sky Diving   Just Chilling   Desert Express

As if all this had not been enough we decided to take in one more new adventure, SKY DIVING!!! Neither Annie nor I had been sky diving before so off we went to the airfield for a short instruction, a "dry run" of being strapped to our instructors and what we would do and then up, up and away. We climbed to 10,000 feet taking in amazing views of the desert and then it was time for a "leap of faith". Annie went first but, given the weight difference, by the time we opened parachutes after the free-fall I was way below her, talk about falling lke a stone! Once the parachutes were open it was really quiet and we could talk to our instructors. They twirled and turned us around for the views and the "rush" of coming in to land and being caught by the waiting crew. At the end of that we had the hugest grins plastered over our faces from the most fantastic experience!
