Click to enlarge Click to enlarge Back in Durban, on one of the days, in perfect weather conditions, my mother took the three of us to a game reserve about a half an hour's drive outside of Durban. What a treat it was. ALL of the animals came out to say "Hello", we didn't know where to look first or next.

From the herd of 14 Giraffe,

to the Zebra's, one with a baby,

and then there were the 3 Rhino's,
one also had a baby in tow,

Click to enlarge Click to enlarge and continuing with a whole show of Wildebeest, Ostriches, Wild Pigs, Monkeys, Hippos and various species of Buck and Birds. We tried to impress on David how lucky he was to be treated to such a show but it was only a few days later when someone told him that they had been to the same game reserve and hardly seen any animals that he really understood how lucky he was.

Click to enlarge Click to enlarge We stopped at a hide on the side of the water where we saw the hippos and various birds, then stopped at the picnic site to have a little walk and sit on the cool of the shade before going to the lodge for lunch.

Click to enlarge Click to enlarge After lunch we drove a while more to say "Hello" and "Goodbye" to the animals and, as a parting but amazing gesture, we watched Giraffes drinking. This is the first time I have ever seen that!!
