Tunisia - Beach and Hotel

Our hotel, the Royal Kenz, was a really nice hotel. It did not seem that big but in fact had room for over 800 people! There were about 740 while we were there but it did not feel crowded at all. We had a great room on the top (third) floor of the hotel with views over the town down to the ocean.

The hotel had two outdoor swimming pools and one indoor. There was also a private beach with thatched umbrellas a short walk, about 200 metres down the little service road. Sitting on the beach there was usually a breeze that helped keep us cool. When that did not work we were in the water of the Bay of Hammamet which is a part of the Mediterranean so pretty calm and nice and cool.

Our last two days were left for serious "beach time". The only detractions from the beach were either going to the swimming pool or the nearby shops and supermarket for water. On one of these walks we also found a "local" coffee shop so decided to join some of the Tunisian people in a cup coffee.

Our package included breakfast and supper, both buffets and both with some Tunisian dishes as well as lots of other food catering for the European and English palate. We chose the Tunisian food for all of our meals and got to eat some delicious food as a result. We ended our holiday in much the way we started it, with an ice cold beer (-:

While we are not usually "package holidayers" this was a great trip and one we would definitely recommend.

Go and visit Tunisia, you won't be disappointed!!!
