While Annie was in Durban we got to "meet" Judge Susan. Susan was an acting judge for a month and we very proudly went along to watch her in action. We were threatened with being locked up if we took any photos in the courtroom so we went to her chambers for tea and photos during one of her recesses. On the first occasion Dad could not join us as he was not yet strong enough but was a couple of weeks later so we went back again, he was definitely the proudest father around!
Susan also took Annie and I to one of her Chaine des Rotisseurs dinners which was quite a gastronomic affair. This is a society devoted to fine dining and the camaraderie of the table and is for gastronomes and culinary professionals.somewhat pretentious but a fun evening.
