Zambia, Zimbabwe & SA - Exploring

Back at the hotel after the ride the weather had cleared up again so we spent some time cooling off in our room and then wandering around the grounds and generally exploring. Being a nature reserve there are wild animals around, mostly mischievous monkeys and "lawnmower" zebra's. It was really quite funny to see a herd of zebra constantly wandering around the grounds keeping the lawns trimmed. The monkeys were always after food, one even gestured by putting its hand in its mouth to explain what it was that it wanted from us. We were warned not to approach any of the animals but we heard of someone who tried to pat a zebra from behind and ended up with a nasty kick, no great surprise but really stupid to try! That evening we ate at the sister hotel, The Zambezi Sun which was a short walk or buggy ride away and what a supper that was. It was a buffet of everything African, we did not know where to look first or what to eat next, it was a SCRUMPTOUS supper! While there we were also entertained by a local group who sang everything from traditional African to the latest top of the pops. It was a really fun evening.
